Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her help and commitment to improving South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) products and services through an engagement with all the agency's senior managers in a strategic planning session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the numerous social grant beneficiaries, who excelled from the 2024 matric examinations.
With the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for your National Senior Certificate (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, symbolizing 81% from the registered pupils within the education sector.
These learners obtained a commendable pass rate of 86%.
"This means that the expense national government is building while in the lives of weak and vulnerable kids is yielding a positive impression in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe mentioned.
